Meg Roberts

Meg prides herself on being an innovative, young communicator with a grasp of the digital space. She is passionate about social media and the dynamic conversations it encourages between corporations and consumers, and is eager to share this passion with others in the field. To enhance her knowledge of social media, Meg started her own blog where she discusses current issues in public relations and communications. Her blog, PR Interactive, now averages over 300 hits a day and has been linked to by top blogs such as PR Squared, Read Write Web, and Stowe Boyd's Message. She was one of 50 young professionals chosen to contribute Brazen Careerist, a group blog for Generation Y bloggers.

Meg currently interns at VOX Global Mandate, a public affairs firm that is part of the Fleishman Hillard network, in Washington, D.C.  Here, she has written speeches and designed presentations for Fortune 100 company executives, written daily media analysis that have been sent directly to clients, collaborated and helped maintain campaign war rooms,conducted blogger outreach, and participated in brainstorm sessions for new business pitches that have led to multi-million dollar contracts.

Throughout her undergraduate career at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Meg took pride in her coursework and took advantage of numerous opportunities to enhance her knowledge of PR, marketing, advertising, and strategic thinking.

At USF, Meg served as the Director of Member Services for the Public Relations Student Society of America, Director of Marketing and Public Affairs for Student Government, Research Director for the USF Bateman Competition team, and the Public Relations Coordinator for the Panhellenic Council.

In addition to these positions, Meg also held internships at the Environmental PR Group and Baymeadows Primary Care where she gained specialized experience in government, corporate social responsibility, and healthcare.

Meg graduated summa cum laude from USA with a B.A. in mass communications and a concentration in public relations. She was also a recipient of the prestigious School of Mass Communication scholarship for excellence, as well as the 2nd Place winner of the 2008 Daniel J. Edelman/PRSSA award for Outstanding Public Relations Student.

Meg has a number of interests. She loves traveling and spent the summer of 2007 in Spain and France. She also enjoys running, big cities, Ireland, Audrey Hepburn, the Latin Quarter in Paris, New York City, the Boston Red Sox, Spanish culture, reading, taking road trips with her friends, making people laugh, and history.
